Back from the dead...

I really meant to work on this blog, but life got busy, but now I will...

I think this House needs some REFORM

Dear Northern Virginia

Tom Davis as outgoing Chairmen of the House Government Reform Committee could list all of his accomplishments as Chairmen on the fingers he had on ONE hand. I say this because after watching 4 months worth of activity from Mr. Waxman's Government Reform Committee its like the difference between night and day. During Mr. Davis' reign of the committee, the most that can be said about his activities is that it was subterfuge for George Bush to continue his awful policies, his work specifically on the Iraq War, Walter Reed and Hurricane Katrina both were substantial in helping the Bush Administration finagle their way out of responsibility for inaction and incompetence. The most important he issued that he championed without abandon was that stupid steroids in baseball thing. !!!!STEROIDS!!!! In professional SPORTS!!!! Perish the thought. If someone ISN'T using steroids is when I'm surprised. Some of those players are so big, they're starting to resemble small horses. As a constituent of the 11th District I would like to ask Mr. Davis for two things, number one, an apology for the piss-poor job that he has done in representing our interests. How has he misrepresented us you ask? Let me count the ways:

1. Ran the House Government Reform Committee incompetently and focused on issues that matter to less then 5% of the country will ignoring issues that were important to 95%.

2. Threatened Governor Kaine that he'd lose the funding if he tried to push for a tunnel through Tyson's vs. an elevated track. Look at this article from the Examiner,

"Two leading Virginia congressmen said Gov. Tim Kaine is wasting millions of
dollars and putting the entire $4 billion Metro extension to Dulles Airport
at risk by further delaying a decision on whether to build a train
tunnel or elevated track through Tysons Corner.
In a joint letter sent
to Kaine on Wednesday, U.S. Reps. Frank Wolf and Tom Davis said the state
“may
very well be rolling the dice on the future of this project” and
could risk
losing $900 million in federal funding," Source: Examiner

3. Davis then backpedals and shows that he was lying all along, and suddenly supports the Tyson Tunnel.

4. Went to the President to say that he needs to change his strategy, so that Davis can keep his job, not because the war isn't going well, but because Davis' hide might be on the line.

5. Voted for the Federal Marriage Amendment to Ban Gay Marriage even though he's been Divorced. Excuse me Congressman, I don't think Gay Marriage was a threat to your first marriage, YOU WERE!

6. His main campaign funders are people who help offshore our techonology jobs or promote a military industrial complex. Source: OpenSecrets

7. He's voted against Lobbying Reform, to keep the Iraq War going indefinitely, and doesn't care about those hurt by Katrina.

Finally, I would just like to say that in 1994 Tom Davis signed the Contract with America and said he pledged to serve 6 terms and no more. I do believe that this is your sixth term Congressman Davis. I think its time for us to tell him that, "Its time for you to quit and find a new career,".

I know I'm telling him that....

The Beginning of my Mission...

My mission, that I have chosen to accept, is to use this blog to show the hypocrisy of the local area Republicans, specifically Tom Davis and Jeannemarie Devolites Davis, who are both Faux Moderate Republicans at their finest. I hope that with my posts here I will be able to give you a sense of how bad our current Republican members who represent us are.

I hope to help you see how utterly hypocritical our local Republicans are.

Good night and good luck!!
